Event Overview
Mountains are beautiful and majestic, but they can also present real obstacles and challenges to climbers. This was truly the case for Bill Barkeley, a Catholic Central alumnus who is both visually and hearing impaired. His deafness combined with his greatly diminished eyesight made his journey up Mount Kilimanjaro a difficult exploit. Yet, these obstacles did not stop him. Bill will share the inspirational lessons he learned from his divine adventure, as well as his thoughts on how to handle the “mountains” that are a part of each of our lives at the first annual Catholic Secondary Schools Inspiration Series Dinner.
Like you and your family, the Catholic Secondary Schools face “mountains” every day. Our greatest challenge is maintaining an affordable tuition rate so that a high-quality faith-based education at Catholic Central and West Catholic offer is available to anyone who desires it. That is why we provide more than a million dollars in aid each year, which meets a higher percentage of a family’s need than most colleges are able to do.
If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to your mountain, “MOVE!" and it WILL move... and NOTHING will be impossible for YOU!
